Despite the April showers (and April winds) of late, the tree outside my bedroom window is starting to bud, meaning May flowers are right around the corner. If you knew me in college, you may have also known that I had a slight(ly concerning) addiction to Flonase (we don’t have to talk about it).
In the spirit of healthy seasonal allergy combat, my new arsenal consists of the following non-addictive methods: Arm & Hammer Saline Spray, giant sunglasses, sneezing incessantly, and Andrew’s New York City Honey. Recommended in highest praise by Emily, you can find Andrew at the USQ Greenmarket every week. One tablespoon a day from his highly localized Midtown batch really seems to be effective against the early oughts of this year’s pollen. A spoonful of sugar helps the medicine go down, especially when the medicine is a spoonful of sugar.
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: Andrew, you are that GIRL!!!! Thank you for your service!!!!
